The demographics of my target audience are as followed; they fall between the age of seventeen and early twenties, they consist of both male and female, they earn a minimum wage of £6 and hour, making them fairly wealthy for such a young age. My target audience are quite interllectual attending higher education in order to further their knowledge and making them fairly successful. My target audience can also afford to drive and possibly own their own living environment, even at a young age due to their need of freedom and independence and choose to live in suburbian areas but enjoy the city/town night life.
The psychographics of my target audience involve them to believe they are known as 'indie scenesters' which is a certain label for a youth, inspired by the website 'uk tribes'.
These types of people are also referred to as 'early adopters' as they like to buy the latest gadgets when they first appear on the market. They also like to be the first to set a trend of fashion or bring an old trend back. Their overall appearence includes both male and female wearing skinny, tight fitted clothes such as drain pipe jeans. In addition they enjoy wearing american style tops and hi top trainers with hair and makeup that makes a statement to others. Their taste in music tends to include guitar music mixed with electronics almost creating a techno style and enjoy going to music festivals but tend to stick to clubs. Indie kids are also big fans of online communities where they can discuss, diss and discover the newest 'cool' bands etc.
I intend my music magazine to be in the price range of roughly £2.80 so it is still on the cheaper side of the market however it is more expensive then the usual glossy magazine. I want my magazine to be published monthly as it will be advertising the latest gadgets and fashions etc so i feel a months period would allow enough time for the magazine to be fresh and up to date at every publishing.

The content of my magazine will focus of indie scenester's taste in music, perhaps electric pop, fashion and the latest technology. Furthermore, the overall style of the magazine will be retro and have a hip hop theme, the font will be bold and eye catching, there will be vibrant colours used and i intend the pictures and text to overlap with each other so it gives it a 'messy' and unorganised theme.
What makes my magazine unique in the market is that it follows the idea of particular groups of people amongst youth. This was inspired by the uk tribes website and as a result my magazine is aimed at ‘indie scenesters’ in particular. I believe it would be an interesting magazine to publish as most people deny belonging to any social label however it is my personal opinion that they do in fact exist and people may just not want to admit to their particular label.
