In comparrison to each other my initial music magazine cover titled 'Feel Alive' uses very basic photoshop skills for example shape tools and merely increasing the contrast in order to make the cover extrememly bright. I felt this would attract a young audience. However my recent and final music magazine cover explores a more darker side to youth which i felt would be more successful at attracting my indie audience.
Looking at my finished piece of media, i can now see that i have a better understanding of the mise-en-scene of my images such as eye contact, body language, facial expression, shot distance and angle. The colour even seems to have an influence of the suggesting particular moods and emotions.
The mode of address is also important and you need to be able to communicate to the reader effectively. These include techniques such as rhetorical questions and specialist language which relates to the target audience.
Having a neat and attractive layout for a media product is also important and very effective as it promotes a higher quality. However following this assumption modern magazines also adopt a messier appearence in order to attract a younger audiences.

Your first points are good - they need to be developed in the "attracting your audience" question! I think for this question it is sensible to also post images of the whole cover and contents page of each, next to each other, so we can actually SEE the overall development. Doing this will allow you to develop your comments. What about how your research and planning developed too?
